5. Reasons, etc.

Out of the three sketches, I chose Sketch 1 after much deliberation. This design is based on the theme of marine pollution problems, and I designed a way of garbage that humans usually throw into the sea is mixed into the sea by rough waves. The reason for using rough waves to raise the issue of marine pollution is that in Japan, large waves are recognized as objects of fear and ominous due to the effects of tsunamis and other factors, and by daring to use such rough waves, we used it to imply that if the marine pollution problem is left unchecked, bad consequences await us in the not too distant future.
In this design, you can find 3 kinds of design principles. First, you can discover Contrast from the background that represents an eerie sky. And then, you can see the movement from the movement of the waves, the garbage carried by the waves, and the seagulls flying in the sky. Also you can find Repetition in the pieces of garbage floating in the air.

6. Feedback from lecture

When I first showed the design to the lecture, I was only able to create one design, and I was told to make three designs. Also, in the initial design, there were no seagulls in the sky, and it was pointed out that the sky was lonely, so I corrected it by drawing a seagull because I thought it was true.
